True spirit

What I know now is that every living thing has a spirit. But there is only one spirit. The spirit of a being is connected to the spirit of life, who is God and the essence of life. The presence of the spirit is everywhere, at all times, giving life to all things.

What I know is that there is a seed of peace, joy, love and wisdom in each of us. My seeds had been trampled upon by the bad behavior of the adults in my life. It would be a spiritual bypass for me to say they did the best they could, because the truth is, we can all be better if we choose to be.

What I know is that the people who hurt, betrayed and disappointed me did not change. My prayers for spiritual clarity, peace of mind, and the desire to be pleasing in my service to God changed how I viewed myself, my life and the others who come to share the experience of living with me.

Cut down on fizzy drinks

Hey ladies! Did u know that women who drink sugary cool drinks daily are 83 percent more likely to have a certain type of stroke than women who don't.

While these findings don't prove that fizzy drinks are to blame for the higher stroke risk, a number of other studies have shown a link between high sugar intake and clogged arteries. The best healthy drink is cranberry juice. And this coming summer cut off those fizzy frozen drinks.

SMARTPHONES The high the low

Did you know that the definition of smartphone is mobile device which has an upgradable operating system (OS). There are many flavours of operating systems ranging from the current favourite Android (the creation of the search engine giant Google), iOS, (the Apple platform for the Apple range as well as other devices), and Blackberry .

There are others currently being developed by various chinese vendors using the Android source code, such a Nimbu.

In South Africa, there are already roughly 19million smartphones connected and functioning. These devices are mainly the high end devices such as the Apple iphone, Blackberry and the samsung S range.

THE BATTLE OF THE OSes
In South Africa the current smartphone OS leader is Android with 50% of the market, led mainly by the Korean manufacturers, namely Samsung with their highly popular S4 series and the likes of LG.

The rise of Android in the market will be driven by the increased availability of the low cost smartphones coupled with the growing mobile app ecosystem.

APPS THE IMPORTANT CONSIDERATION
One of the key influencers in making the decision to purchase a smartphone has become the availability of apps or applications which can be installed on the device.

Once you become accustomed to using apps, you will understand the importance of making the right choices.

Spice up your love

There is always a moment when I ask myself "whose idea was this?" We will be turning 6years of happiness together on 1st of January 2014, been through thick and thin together. We've had things done together as a family practically everyday. From the very first day I said I do, I've handed him a glass of whiskey on rocks as he has ever loved his drink, I've seen his eyes close in rapture as he's played his guitar.

We call each other everyday when we are not home just to check on what keeps me or him busy. He is one man who appreciates everything I do for him and this keeps our relationship grow stronger day by day.

In a healthy relationship you need to retain a sense of independence and value each other's different strengths. These strengths are what makes you who you are, shaping your approach to life and bringing you happiness. Coming from a similar background creates understanding and common value systems.

Women's Day 9th August

Got something to say! The 9th of August was women's day which is celebrated by South African women every year. On this date, the voice of a woman was heard. I started celebrating mine with breakfast in bed which was prepared by my hubby. This was so loving. He really showed how important being a woman is in his life.

I did not have any words to say but only said I love you more. After having breakfast in bed, we went to buy groceries for the house with the two kids then had lunch at spur restaurant in centurion lifestyle centre. After lunch, we got back home and unpacked the staff from the car and I started to prepare myself for the ladies outing.

Around 7pm,I went to fetch a friend from Leeds by the name of Nthabiseng who is one of my good friends. We went to woodmead news café to enjoy cocktail drinks. This was really a night o remember. We laughed and danced till 1am. It was really nice and fun to be out there with a friend and talk about all sought of things. We left the place at 1am and arrived home safe.

My birthday celebration

On 16th of June was my birthday, fathers day and youth day. This year 2013 has been a year that I celebrated my birthday with two other occasions being Father's Day and youth day. The first person to wish me happy birthday was my husband then followed by my mother who called in as early as 6am. I was spoiled by my husband who made me breakfast in bed. Wow I just loved the feeling.

We left for Rietvlei Dam in centurion at midday for a braai with the whole family and my niece Ruiza and my brother in law Yope. The day was very sunny.

Photo's were taken, braai went on well. Not every woman would feel the way I feel when it comes to be spoiled by the love of my life. Among my very good friends, only few are treated with love and care and are shown the love I get from my husband. Some even get to an extent of telling me that they wish they were in my shoes. I reply to them that everything has got time, their time to be spoiled will come at the right time as they just have to be patient about it.

Later at night we went out to watch the Malawian musician Lucius Banda who was performing live in Mayfair Johannesburg. The concert was boring and the were fights every second minute.

Madiba Day 18th July!

On Thursday morning, I left for Thabo Mbeki Village Day Care Centre in Diepsloot for the Mandela Day. Before heading for  Diepsloot, I had to drop off my baby girl at Crèche in Midrand. Got to the day care centre around 10am and only to find that the celebration was starting at 12:30pm. I rushed to the nearest filling station to crab myself a meat pie and soft drink. On my way back to the centre I was stopped by a traffic officer at the roadblock and was asked to produce a drivers license of which I did produce.

As I produced it I was asked if I registered for traffic register and I looked very stupid as I did not do it but had to lie and he believed what I said. Got to my business of the day. The celebration started with the little ones singing a birthday song for the icon Madiba. Wow such a blessing for him to reach this far in life.

Seeing the little ones sing was so joyous. The children were then offered food and drinks. After lunch , we had to play with the little ones games and jumping on the jumping castle and this was so challenging for the other kids.

This day made me realize how important it is to help out the need and show them the love that they deserve. Poor people out there need food to eat in order to survive. I 'am kindly asking for donations of food stuff, Toys, funds or anything you can afford for the little ones at Thabo Mbeki Village Day Care Centre in Diepsloot. Your help will b highly appreciated.
